Volunteers are needed across the area to clean up debris and remove sandbags. If your group would like to receive and assist with cases in your area, fill out this form so that VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, which the Missouri Conference is a member of) can contact you directly and send you cases from 2-1-1 that you may assist with in your region. VOAD is partnered with United Way 2-1-1 to coordinate homeowner assistance requests from across the state and match them up with organizations best suited for their needs.

New Life Church in Oak Grove is seeking volunteers on May 20. They took over the project list when we stepped down after the initial clean up from the tornado. There is still several homes that need debris removal, chainsaw work, etc. Contact Mark Turner at Mark@newlifeoakgrove.com.

Disaster Response Volunteers Needed in Mississippi
Hattiesburg, MS, and Petal, MS, were severely impacted by tornadoes the weekend of January 21. They have requested trained Early Response Teams (ERT), trained chain saw teams, and heavy equipment teams. ERTs need to be self-sustainable. For additional information, visit mississippi-umc.org.
